2. Disable game mode

For MACOS 14.0 (sonoma) WITH Apple (M1, M2, etc) Chips only

  1. Launch roblox,

  2. Fullscreen roblox,

  3. Click on the controller icon in the apple menu and disable game mode (refer to the image below)

Sometimes it turns on by itself, so check regularly to make sure its off if you are unable to turn it off, try restarting your mac

For issues with turning off game mode (just pausing when pressing turn off and turning on while switching between windows), refer to these steps

  1. Open Activity Monitor. It can be found in the applications category of finder.

  1. Press the magnifying glass icon and search

gamepolicyd

  1. Double click on the process (the only one there), and make sure the following window is shown:

  1. Press quit button and choose the force quit option

Alternatively, back on the search menu, select gamepolicyd (click ONCE) and press the x in a hexagon in the upper left

gamepolicyd should start to backup after being force-quitted (which is normal).

  1. You should be able to turn off game mode now Go to the upper right and press the game controller icon
